Sitges special events and festivities
The Events and Festivities' Programme in Sitges is large in that it is very easy for visitants to enjoy some special day no matter the year season it is. Many of the events taking place in Sitges, as the worldwide famous Carnival or the International Film Festival of Catalonia (formerly known as the International Fantastic and Horror Film Festival) are internationally recognized. The Vintage Cars Rally from Barcelona to Sitges, the Corpus Feast (with flower-made carpets covering the streets of the town), the Wine Harvest Festivity or the International Theatre Festival are other better known events and festivities attracting lots of visitors.

Sitges celebrates its local fiesta in August. These are days full of daytime and night activities and the beach turns into a place to rest and get one's strength back to go on. Fireworks and a passacaglia with music, devils and fire as the main figures, are very famous about this time of year.
